Hello everyone. I apologize for not updating recently but here are some projects that God has been using me to work on:
minutes before this picture I prayed with
Anderson (left) and He gave his life to Christ.
I will be meeting with this guy every Fri. at 9am
so keep us in prayer.
  • Every Sunday at 5 pm we have a Bible Study that has become a church plant. Through out the week I make an effort to communicate and contact each person and be involved in their lives. Recently this young guy named Anderson gave his life to Jesus. It was really cool! Two weeks ago we had over 30 Ticos attend the study. Dave Shirley and Hollie Melland were here that day and I was blessed to see them blessed as they saw the work God is doing in Costa Rica. Please keep this study in prayer because the locals are being fed the Word and its so cool to see God reveal His truths to them. They are hungry and I want to lead them to Christ! My priority is to reach out in love to a confused and dying world with the good news of God's forgiveness and peace and hope through Jesus Christ. Please help me in praying that my efforts and the efforts of all the missionaries across the world be fulfilling the great commission of Christ. Pray that hearts have a sincere yearning for God as they are willing to confess their need for Christ! Ryan and I are in the process of having a resource table open during the study with different yearly Bible reading plans and some spanish resources they can take home and read. Pray that we through the Holy Spirit can encourage them to get excited about the Word. We do not want this study to be about numbers! Everything that is done with the few is for the salvation of the multitudes. We need your prayers so that we make disciples of the ones God has sent us. Praise God! I think of Jesus when He raised up leaders who could lead the multitudes in the things of God. May we raise up leaders so they can lead others to Christ. Jesus knew that before the world could be permanently helped people would have to be raised up! That is our vision and that we need prayer in.
Hogar Ama (Boys Orphanage)
  • Yesterday we had the privilege to spend time with the boys at the orphanage but as I was praying I was asking God to give me vision on what it is He desires to do at this orphanage. These were thoughts that came across my mind and I would love to share with you, so that you can keep them in your prayers. In about two weeks or so I am making plans to take these fifteen boys to the movies. Most of them have never seen a movie at a theater so I know this will be a blessing to them. But I feel like there is more we can do to get involved in these kids lives. So I have been praying on talking to the Friar and organizing a two day camp on their property where we can spend quality time with the children. For example, arrive Friday morning and have a devotion with them. Someone lead us in worship and spend a whole day with them and do what they do daily. Friday night we can hang around the fire and love on these children. Spend the night with them and eat breakfast and see what the Lord does...Please keep this in prayer! Also I am trying to get involved with the firefighters and see where we can serve them as well as the police officers but before I forget, I want to share this with you. Ryan and I had the opportunity to go to the Capital and meet a few leaders from Costa Mesa. We were in this taxi and we shared the Gospel with the driver and he accepted Jesus as his Savior. I wish you all were there because his questions were so genuine and I got a chance to see Ryan evangelize. It was pretty cool. God be glorified!
Guaymi People

This was last weeks study that God
keeps blessing.
  • On March 6-9 we will be doing an outreach with this indigenous group who live mainly in Panamanian Provinces but have migrated to Costa Rica in search of work on coffee fincas. I am in the process of getting all the details so as soon as I can I will post more so that you all can partner with me in prayer. This will be cool because they live in remote areas and it takes a hike to get to them!
I want to thank all of you for your prayers and support. I would love to hear from you so please respond to this blog and if you have any prayer requests, let me know because my wife and I would love to pray for you. We are thankful for the support and prayers. I never know who gives so if you have given to us, my family and I are thankful. I do have a request. I desire to post vlogs but for me to do so I am requesting an IPOD (i guess they are 4s) If you know of someone who wants to donate one please let me know. This way I can take pictures and make videos of God's work. We love you all and there is so much more I can write about but I am not good with words.
Much love in Christ!
Gerry

  1. Gerry,
What an awesome report. So many treasures you're storing up in heaven. I miss seeing your face here on Fridays. We must somehow come to see you.
